WA Go Online celebrates their fifth anniversary in Japan Print
This year marks the fifth anniversary of the opening of WA Go Online's branch office in Kobe, a major port city located in the Hyogo prefecture of central Japan. Strategically, Japan was the ideal location for WA Go Online to expand into the Asian region, not only because of its proximity to neighbouring Asian nations but also because in order to be successful in the Japanese market, products must be of extremely high quality and this is where WA Go Online prefers to compete. Of course, similar to Germany in Europe, the Japanese market is one of the most difficult to access and this is why WA Go Online is so proud to not only still be here but to have developed a reputation for quality and technological endeavour that has resulted in the formation of strong associations with like minded research and industry partners.

The fifth anniversary was celebrated at the Portopia Hotel in Kobe on Monday, September 7 with members from the WA Government including the Commissioner, Mr Craig Peacock and the Regional
Director of the Kobe Office, Ms Noriko Hirata as well as honoured guests from the Hyogo Prefecture Government, the Hyogo Investment Support Centre, the Kobe City Government, the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and various business partners in Japan. We would especially like to thank Mr Peacock for his speech as well as
Governor Ido of Hyogo Prefecture Government who unfortunately could not
be present but communicated his good wishes through a letter presented
by Mr Taki, the Director General of the International Affairs and
Tourism Bureau.

It was an honour to celebrate this momentous occasion with all our guests and we would like to thank them for coming. We would also like to thank everybody for their positive feedback to the Ikipsi prototype we were able to present. We look forward to making further advancements and breakthroughs in the future and celebrating our tenth and twentieth anniversaries with you in the years to come.
